Prague to Passau, in the rain

Today (Thursday) we travel to Passau, Germany, where we'll have a private concert on the largest pipe organ in Europe and we'll board the Amadeus Brilliant to begin our week-long cruise on the Danube. For the next couple of days the weather forecast is for highs in the 50s (F) and rain; we should feel right at home. The extended forecast is for lots of sun after that.

On our way out of town we passed this very modern structure, known locally as the "Dancing House".

A gray day as we left Prague.

In the countryside, a field of solar panels.

Some of the scenery would be at home in the Pacific Northwest.

This typical German village doesn't look much like the Northwest, though.

St Stephan's Cathedral, seen from our bus as it makes its way into Passau. This is where we'll attend an organ concert this afternoon.

The docks for the "river cruisers" (as they're called) are just below the center of the town.
